Gondola Accident in Cavalese, Italy

On the afternoon of February 3, 1998, a United States fighter jet flew through the ski resort at Cavalese, Italy, and cut the cables carrying a gondola full of skiers. The gondola plummeted 350 feet, killing all the occupants.
